MOBC Nursery

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

Welcome to the nursery ministry of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Our nursery provides care during morning worship services for children ages birth to 3 years old. Our church strives to provide a safe learning environment that is staffed with responsible, trained individuals who will lovingly care for your children while you enjoy the preaching of God's Word. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your family.

The nursery will open 15 minutes before the morning worship service starts. When signing your child in please make sure we have a current information sheet for your child. This will be our guide in determining the needs of your child. Please inform all staff of any allergies and special needs or requests for your child. You will be given a number to help us identify you with your child. Your child and belongings will also be given a corresponding number. Please drop your child off quickly to aid in the transition fr the children and staff. Only the workers and children being cared for will be allowed in the nursery with the exception of nursing mothers.

Your child should be picked up immediately following worship service. for safety and security reasons the child will only be returned to the parent that signed the child in unless other arrangements were made at drop-off. We ask that parents pick up children at the door in a timely manner so that other parents can pick up their children.

We will provide a light snack for children 1 year old and older. Please inform staff of any food allergies your child may have. Staff will inform parents of the snack for that particular day. Please feel free to provide a sippy cup or bottle that us clearly labeled with your child's name.

Parents will provide all diapers and wipes. Please make sure your child is dropped off with a clean diaper. Diapers will be changed on demand and each child will have a clean diaper when they are picked up.

We are concerned with the health and well-being of each child, so please refrain from bringing ill children to the nursery. If your child has had the following symptoms within the last 24 hours they will not be allowed in the nursery: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, unexplained rash, pink eye, sore throat or any contagious virus we will ask that you keep your child with you. We ask that you be mindful of the staff and other children that may become ill.

Our church does not have a room for crying babies. If you choose to keep your child with you we ask that you move to the foyer if your child starts to cry or becomes disruptive.

We want you as a parent to have the utmost confidence in the child care at Mount Olive Baptist Church, so that you may be involved in the service without distraction or concern. We pray we have conveyed our commitment for you and your child.
